Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

• "OceanLan" / "We" / "Us": The makeup artistry business operating under the name OceanLan, based in Taipei, Taiwan.
• "Client" / "You": Any individual who books or receives services from OceanLan.
• "Service": Any home visit makeup artistry session provided by OceanLan, including Rainy Day Comfort, Charity Run Preparation, and the Full Calendar Year Retainer.
• "Agreement": These Terms & Conditions, accepted by booking or using any Service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a Service — through the contact form, phone, or email — you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. If booking on behalf of another adult, you confirm their consent.

3. Service Description

OceanLan provides professional home visit makeup artistry to clients across Taipei City. Services are delivered by trained artists at the client's specified address. Service availability is subject to artist availability and geographic coverage. We reserve the right to decline bookings at locations outside our service area.

4. Booking and Scheduling

All bookings are confirmed via phone or email. A booking is considered confirmed once OceanLan sends written or verbal confirmation. You are responsible for ensuring an appropriate space is available for the session (adequate lighting, a chair, and a surface for products).

We will notify you of your artist's estimated arrival window the day before each appointment.

5. Pricing and Payment

• Rainy Day Comfort: NT$1,500 per session
• Charity Run Preparation: NT$2,800 per session
• Full Calendar Year Retainer: NT$22,000 per year (12 monthly sessions)

Prices are inclusive of travel within the Taipei City service area. Payment is due at the time of service unless a retainer agreement specifies alternative billing terms. We accept cash and bank transfer. Prices are in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$).

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the session fee. Retainer clients should refer to their individual service agreements for specific cancellation terms.

OceanLan reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to artist illness or unforeseen circumstances. We will provide as much advance notice as possible.

7. Client Responsibilities

• Provide an accurate home address and accessible entry instructions
• Inform OceanLan of any relevant skin conditions, allergies, or sensitivities before the session
• Ensure the space is reasonably safe and suitable for the artist to work
• Provide accurate contact details for scheduling communication

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the OceanLan website — including text, images, service descriptions, and design — is the property of OceanLan. Clients may not reproduce or redistribute this content without written permission. Client style profiles and session notes remain the property of OceanLan but are used solely in service delivery.

9. Disclaimers

OceanLan provides makeup artistry services with professional skill and care. We do not represent that any particular aesthetic outcome will be achieved, as individual results depend on skin type, conditions, and personal factors. We are not a medical or dermatological service.

Clients with known skin conditions should seek medical advice before booking if in doubt about product suitability.

10. Limitation of Liability

OceanLan's liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the fee paid for that specific session. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. We are not responsible for reactions to products where the client did not disclose known allergies prior to the session.

11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). Any disputes will first be addressed through informal discussion. If resolution is not reached within 30 days, disputes may be referred to the Taiwan courts with jurisdiction over Taipei City.

12. Changes to These Terms

OceanLan may update these terms periodically. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
